IAA | Firebird Transam Campaign

Take a trip back to 1988. Washington won the Super Bowl in January, the Baltimore Orioles

suffered through a record 21-game losing streak in April, and a presidential election unfolded in

November. In the midst of those historic moments, a brand-new Pontiac Firebird Trans Am,

sporting only 1,081 miles on the odometer, was stolen. And it wouldn’t be seen again publicly for

more than three decades.

This Standout campaign was meant to feature a unique vehicle with an interesting history. To highlight that, it was decided to go with a synthwave like style, featured on a series of deliverables, such as email, video, and social media.

I started by creating animated email header to capture the look and feel of the rest of the campaign. Some were more flashy than other, but the design below was ultimately chosen as the final design. Along with the email campaign, I had also made a video for our social media channels that gave a more exciting energy to this unique piece of inventory.
